Planned & Strategic Giving
Supporting Oregon Agricultural Trust (OAT) can go beyond a one-time donation. Planned and strategic gifts allow you to make a lasting impact, support your personal charitable goals, and help protect Oregon’s working lands for generations to come.
Estate Planning
Including OAT in your estate plan or will is a meaningful way to leave a legacy. Even small planned gifts can grow over time, helping us protect farmland and keep it working for future generations. You can also name OAT as a beneficiary of your retirement account, life insurance, or other assets to make a lasting contribution.

Donor Advised Funds
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account managed by a third-party sponsor. Contributions to a DAF become irrevocable, and donors can recommend grants to charities of their choice either immediately or over time. If you have a DAF, directing a gift to OAT is simple—your financial institution handles the transfer, and your support goes straight to protecting Oregon’s working lands.
IRA Charitable Giving
Starting at age 73, IRA owners are required to take annual withdrawals, called Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs). Making a charitable gift directly from your IRA is an effective way to support OAT while putting those funds to immediate use. This approach allows your gift to make a tangible impact now, even if you don’t itemize deductions, and can help maximize the effect of your charitable support.
