The USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announced that it will be awarding $6,765,000 to fund Oregon land protection projects as part of the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program – Agricultural Land Easements (ACEP-ALE). This is an unprecedented investment in funding the increasing demand for working land easements in Oregon. Read the press release from Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts here.

 

March 6, 2022

The Oregon legislature approved $5 million in funding for the Oregon Agricultural Heritage Program (OAHP). Oregon's farmers and ranchers can now access these funds, plus millions in federal funds, to protect their working land from development. OAHP includes funding for 4 grant programs: Working Lands Easements, Conservation Management Plans, Succession Planning, and Technical Assistance.
